First Appearance

Primary Weapon Counter

Flashlight / UV Light / X-Taser

Aggression Type

Rear Ambush & Shadow Tracking

The Stalker is designed to punish solo players who wander off into unlit sections of the facility. It avoids direct line-of-sight engagement, hovering at the periphery of your vision until your sanity drops or your flashlight turns off.

Detection & Warning Cues

1

Flickering Lights

Fluorescent corridor bulbs start buzzing and flickering rapidly whenever the Stalker enters the immediate hallway zone.

2

Audible Footstep Echoes

You will hear extra footsteps matching your pace 2 to 3 meters behind you. When you stop moving, the footsteps stop half a second later.

3

Sanity Drain Spikes

Your character's sanity meter drops twice as fast when the Stalker is within stalking distance.

Survival Tactics & Countermeasures

  • Flashlight Flash: Turning around and shining a high-power beam directly at the Stalker forces it to freeze and disappear back into the shadow realm for 30 seconds.
  • Buddy System: Travel in pairs with a Nurse or Security Officer. The Stalker rarely attacks groups of two or more.
  • Coffee Boost: Drink Hot Coffee to gain a temporary sprint speed surge to reach lit safe zones.
  • Know Your Enemy: The flashlight works on the Stalker, but other hallway anomalies like the Black Bunny are immune to light and every item โ€” don't waste charges on the wrong threat.

When the Stalker Shows Up at Check-In

The version of the Stalker that walks the corridors is not the only one you have to plan for. It can also appear at the check-in window disguised as an ordinary patient, which moves the threat from the hallway into the one place where you are stationary, focused on paperwork, and least able to back away.

In that situation the corridor tactics do not apply. The reliable removal is to photograph the suspicious patient โ€” a disguised Stalker leaves rather than risk being recorded. Camera feeds are the other tool worth leaning on, because they let you track where it actually is instead of guessing from audio.

One habit protects you in both cases: avoid sustained eye contact. A quick glance costs a small amount of sanity, and staring multiplies it, which is why players who freeze while trying to identify the figure tend to lose far more sanity than players who keep moving. If you need the full checklist for judging a patient at the window, see the photo and CCTV check order.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Stalker in Animal Hospital Roblox?

The Stalker is a hostile roaming entity that shadows players silently through dark corridors. Unlike aggressive anomalies that charge on sight, the Stalker stalks targets from behind before striking.

How do you know if the Stalker is following you?

Watch for subtle environmental cues: flickering ceiling lights, faint dragging footsteps behind you, and a sudden drop in ambient temperature. Looking backwards with a flashlight will cause it to retreat temporarily.

Can the Stalker enter patient rooms?

Yes. The Stalker can enter unsealed patient rooms and dark offices. Closing shutters or staying in lit areas deters it.

Is Rattina the Stalker in Animal Hospital?

No. Rattina is not the Stalker. Rattina is Ratthew's missing twin sister with a direct connection to Animal Corp, and her lore is tied to the Doctor's Key quest and Room 5. The Stalker is a separate, unnamed hostile entity that shadows players through dark corridors.
