Second Floor

The event window ran from 2026-09-05 through 2026-09-07 and has now closed. The content it introduced — the second floor, the SEWERS area, the Laboratory and the DNA Sampler — is still playable in Animal Hospital.

The second floor unlocks after you complete your first ambulance visit. If you are playing in skip-tutorial mode, it is available from the start of the run.

The Laboratory is the headline feature of the update. Use the DNA Sampler on a patient to collect a sample, sequence it, then mix three DNA ingredients to brew a vial. Pink serums are thrown at patients and NPCs; green serums are drunk by you. See the Laboratory & DNA Guide for the full recipe list.

No. The event dates only marked when the content was released. The second floor, SEWERS area, Laboratory and DNA Sampler are all still in the game, so a player starting today has exactly the same access as someone who logged in during September 5–7.

The DNA Sampler is the tool that feeds the Laboratory. Use it on a patient in a bed to collect a DNA sample, then sequence that sample and combine three DNA ingredients into a brewable vial. Without the sampler you cannot produce any serum.

The delivery method, not just the effect, distinguishes them. Pink serums are thrown at patients and NPCs, making them the tool for influencing someone else. Green serums are drunk by you, so they are self-applied. Some serums are only worth brewing when you consider which of the two you actually need.
