๐ซ Quick Verdict
The Gun is the only weapon that permanently removes a target โ including enemies the Taser cannot touch.
Gun Stats & Cost
Premium price, permanent result.
- Cost: $410 in-game, or 99 Robux for instant unlock.
- Effect: One-shot kill that deletes the enemy from the shift.
- Best for: Late-game players and anyone who already owns it and wants guaranteed permanent control.
- Downside: Expensive, and you must actually land the shot.
What the Gun Beats
Including the Taser-immune enemies.
The Gun permanently removes any target it can hit. That matters most against the two enemies the X-Taser cannot affect:
- Black Bunny: immune to the Taser โ only a Gun (or avoidance) works, though the Bunny itself cannot be killed.
- Masked Figure: immune to the Taser โ the Gun is the reliable permanent solution.
- Skinwalker & Ghost: either weapon works, but the Gun deletes them for good.

Which Class Starts With a Gun?
Secret Agent ships it by default.
The Secret Agent class comes with a Gun plus a Scanner in its starting loadout โ a big reason it is the top solo class. Other classes must buy the Gun from the shop.
What the Gun Cannot Solve
Because the Gun is the only weapon that permanently deletes a target, it is tempting to treat it as a universal answer to anything hostile. It is not, and the exceptions are worth knowing before you pull the trigger โ this is the most expensive tool you can buy, so a wasted shot costs real money.
- The Black Bunny. Weapons, the Taser and even the flashlight are completely ineffective against it, and it never attacks in return. It only drains sanity while you hold eye contact, so the answer is to look away and keep moving.
- The Masked Figure. Shooting it achieves nothing. It despawns only after losing sight of you for several seconds, which makes doors and corners your real tools rather than your weapon.
- Surgery events. When tendrils appear in the operating room, the correct response is to follow the surgery procedure โ not to shoot or tase. Treating it as a combat encounter is how a routine surgery turns into a failed one.
The pattern is that the Gun solves enemies which chase you. The Black Bunny and the Masked Figure are attention-based threats instead, and attention-based problems are solved by breaking the situation, not by firepower.
Gun FAQ
How much does the Gun cost in Animal Hospital?
The Gun costs $410 in-game, or 99 Robux if you want to unlock it instantly. It is the most expensive combat tool, but the only one that guarantees permanent removal of a threat.
What can the Gun kill in Animal Hospital?
The Gun permanently removes the targets it is meant for โ most notably Skinwalkers, and Ghosts that have already spawned. It is not a universal answer: the Black Bunny is immune to weapons, Tasers and flashlights alike, and the Masked Figure does not respond to being shot either. Save your shots for the threats the Gun actually resolves.
Which class starts with a Gun?
The Secret Agent class comes with a Gun plus a Scanner in its starting loadout, which is a big part of why it is considered the best solo class. The Surgeon does not start with one.
Is the Gun better than the X-Taser?
For permanence, yes โ the Gun deletes the target while the Taser only stuns. But the Gun is pricey and needs aim, so the smart long-term loadout carries both: Taser for everyday stuns, Gun for permanent removal of immune or high-priority threats.
